Our beloved mother, Victoria Shomen, left this earth after a valiant battle with metastatic disease. She was a strong fighter until the end, but she passed away on June 25th at age 56.
At a tender age Victoria was destined for greatness and spread her light across the globe through her countless travelling adventures. She met numerous people and made lasting bonds with everyone she met. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Nursing. After graduating, she worked relentlessly serving people within the community to live more fulfilling lives. She was passionate about her job and even more about cooking, so much so, she constantly fed those around her.
She met Michael Shomen, they wedded and resided with their four children, Edna, Vanessa, Justice, and Gregory, her son –in law Daniel and her grandchildren Jo and Riahe whom she travelled together wherever she went.
Victoria was strong willed, smart, bold, loving and most importantly kindhearted. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and all those who surrounded her. She was a go getter, fashion trendsetter, and loudspeaker. Her 5am pot banging will be missed. God truly made her especially different. We love you Ma, may you rest in paradise in Jesus Name.
Family and friends will honor and remember Victoria's life by gathering for visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday morning, July 7th at 9 o'clock. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 10 am. Interment in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
