Rose-Marie C. (DeWitt) Taylor, 94, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Monday, February 10, 2020. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Claude E. & Madeline (Stahli) DeWitt, and the beloved wife of the late William R. Taylor.
Bright and witty and always animated, Rose-Marie was raised and educated in New York where they were raising four kids, then moved to Framingham in 1962 for Bill’s job, where they settled and had their 5th child. The epitome of a homemaker, she doted over her family and loved cooking family dinners for them. She was a faithful, active attendee at the Lutheran Church on Edgell Rd in Framingham for many years.
She and Bill later retired to Yarmouth Port, where she could often be found reading a good book, doing a crossword puzzle or keeping up with dear friends. She loved living on Cape Cod.
Family meant everything to Rose-Marie. She is survived by her children, Korynne Dunlop and her husband William of Wellfleet, Jeffrey Taylor of Hyannis, Janette Ranney of Marlborough, Lauren Taylor of Framingham and Lee-Anne Farrell & her husband George of Framingham. Also, by her grandchildren, Rick Klein, Christopher Klein, Adrienne Ratto, Stephanie Reppert, Jennifer Harris, Jeffrey Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Daniel Hartshorn, Keith Farrell, Kimberly Granger, Ashley Gross, Sean Farrell, and Alana Ranney.
Rose-Marie had 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her beloved husband William, she was predeceased by her grandson Matthew Klein, and her siblings, Madeline Hammer, Kenneth DeWitt, and Claude DeWitt, Jr.
Family and friends will honor and remember Rose-Marie’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Sunday, February 16th from 1-4 P.M.
