Elisabeth R. Martino, 59, a gentle and caring soul died on Thursday, January 23, 2020 following an 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Watertown she was the 9th of 12 children to the late Joseph & Maria (Leoncelli) Martino.
Elisabeth or “Lisa” as she was known to her family, moved to Framingham in middle school and was a 1978 graduate of Framingham North High School. A single mother of three girls she dedicated her life to those less fortunate with love and compassion as a Home Health Aide with Metrowest Hospice formerly Metrowest VNA for over 30 years.
She loved to listen and dance to local bands, and spend as much time she could with her 7 grandchildren.
Elisabeth is survived by her three loving daughters, Nicole Lopez & her husband Richard Guzman of Framingham, Elisa Cosme & her husband Jose of Northborough, and Juaquina Lopez of Easton, her cherished grandchildren, Delylah, Kaylani, Jordan, Aiden, Sanaiya, Lorenzo, Joey, and soon to be Baby Bentley, her siblings, Mark, Stella Melendez, Pamela, Patricia Riemer, Michael, Christopher, Ann Hegerle, David, Holly, and Rosanna Greendale. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Jacqueline, and her sister Maryanne Casey.
Family and friends will honor and remember Elisabeth’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday, January 29th from 7 – 9 P.M. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in St. George Church, 74 School St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
