Christine M. Tivnon, 53, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Monday, February 24, 2020 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Christine was born in Boston and raised in Watertown. A graduate of Watertown High, she went on to nursing school at St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Brighton, and immediately went to work in the hospital after completing the program.
In 1990, she married the love of her life Scott. It was only 2 years later that she would receive her MS diagnosis. In 1997 the settled in Framingham to raise their family. Always a fighter, Christine continued to enjoy traveling, gardening, reading a good book, cooking a good meal, or simply spending time with family.
Besides her husband Scott, Christine is survived by her beloved sons, Ryan and Matthew both of Framingham, her father, William Burns, Sr. of Milford, her siblings, Sharon of Waltham, Lorie of CA, and William Burns, Jr. of Bellingham, her uncle and aunt, Paul & Mary Buonopane of Lincoln, and several nieces and nephews. Christine was predeceased by her mother, Mary Burns.
Family and friends will honor and remember her life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday, February 28th from 8:30 – 9 :30 A.M. Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville, at 10 o’clock. Interment will be private.
