Obituary

Mary Cahill, Catherine Cafferty and Christine Perocchi mourn the sudden loss of their dear sister, Carolyn Frances Clark  aged 69, who died on May 22, 2022. Born June 18, 1953 in Boston, MA she attended Newton South High School class of 1972  and after a period of time working as a nursing assistant and then  caring for family in New Hampshire and California, began working at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1984. She was a dedicated and extremely caring  hospital care coordinator for various floors and specialty units where she worked for more than 30 years. She received awards for her participation and training of the hospital’s new computer system and was sent to represent the hospital at a national conference.  At her retirement from the Hospital she received special recognition for her lengthy service.

Carolyn enjoyed reading novels, watching game shows, and Diet Coke.  She  loved the sun and surf, going to the family summer beach house at Hampton, NH as often as she could.  Family and friends came for the “refreshing“ ocean water and often a cooling East wind off the ocean. As a youth she collected sea glass and shells, swam and body surfed, sailing our Boston Whaler, bon fires on the beach and sing alongs around the fire. Later in her adult years she, Mary, and her mother Louise enjoyed several relaxing summers at ”the cottage.” She became an avid water aerobics exercise fan and went so far as to get certified as a water aerobics instructor and teaching classes at the Boston Sports Club at their Lexington and Newton locations.

She is survived by her sisters Mary Cahill of Framingham MA,  Catherine Cafferty of Highland Village, TX and Christine Perocchi of Plymouth, MA.  Nieces are Allyson Cafferty of Seattle, WA; Brittany Cafferty of Long Beach CA; Catherine Mullin of Marston Mills, MA; and Zachary and Matthew Perocchi of Plymouth MA; grandnephews William and Benjamin Mullin, and grandniece LillyAnne  Mullin of Marston Mills, MA as well as loving cousins and caring friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Carolyn’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Tuesday, May  31st from 2-4 & 6-8PM.
