“Peace, love and do not fight” was how one might have been greeted by Richard W. Cobb, 78, a lifelong Framingham resident, who died on Wednesday October 18, 2017, after a 3 year battle with cancer.

Richard “Cobbie” was born at home on Summer St. in Framingham the son of the late Milton & Isabelle (Sanger) Cobb. He attended Framingham Technical High School, where he mastered his trade as a machinist.  A longtime employee and later an owner of Framingham Motor Parts machine shop, and Waverly Tool Company. Richard was a proud life time member of Maspenock Rod & Gun Club in Milford, and was especially known for his target prowess.

He enjoyed motorcycle sports from an early age, having the opportunity to race flat track at Daytona and Enduros. Richard relished sports and the outdoors; sailing and boating with friends, fishing, hunting, photography, skiing, skating, and horse riding to name a few.

Dedicated and loyal to family and friends alike, he was a true flower child, and is survived by his step son, Roman Murciano of GA, his grandson Nicholas, his brothers, David of Dedham, and Ruel of CA, his sister, Nancy Cintolo of RI, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Richard’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, or Tuesday October 24th from 5:30 – 8:30 P.M.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Richard’s name to: the Disabled Veterans of MA,, or the Jr. Rifle Program at Maspenock Rod & Gun Club,
