Francis T. Cintolo, 85, a longtime resident of Framingham, died suddenly on Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was the son of the late Frank V. & Martha J. (Roberts) Cintolo.
Born and raised in Framingham, Fran was a graduate of Framingham High, and enlisted with the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served his country during the Korean War. He went on to enjoy long careers with H.P. Hood, and Framingham State College.
On July 23, 1955, Fran married the love of his life, a Natick girl, Jean R. (Goss), and together they raised their family in Natick. Over the years he enjoyed cruises, golfing, bowling, long walks, spending time on Lake Manchaaug, and more than anything his family and dear friends.
Besides his wife Jean, Francis is survived by his son, David P. & his wife Isobelle of Framingham, his grandchildren, Michael W. Petro & his wife Jenna of Natick, and Amanda J. Russell & her husband Sean of Ashland, his great grandchildren, Ava Rose & Carmelo Francis Petro, and Lincoln Francis Russell, his “adopted” children Kathy McCallion & Donald Bowden-Texera and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Francis was predeceased by his daughter, Debra A. Cintolo, and his brothers Robert, Peter, Thomas and Paul.
Family and friends will honor and remember Francis’ life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Monday, June 25th from 4 – 8 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning in St. Stephen’s Church, 251 Concord St., Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
