Eleanor A. (Walgren) Rogers, 79, of Marlborough, formerly of Long Island, NY, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born in Oceanside, NY and was daughter of the late Gustav & Alice (Anderson) Walgren.
Eleanor was raised on Long Island, and received her Bachelors Degree from Cornell University, and her Masters Degree from Stony Brook University. She enjoyed a long career as a middle school teacher on Long Island. After her retirement she moved to Marlborough where she was the Past District 5 Director, American Legion Auxiliary, and member of Post 107 Ladies Auxiliary, Natick, MA. She belonged to the Delorean Owners Association for many years, in which she designed and developed the twin turbo kits for the DeLoreans throughout the country. She was also a member of the Swedish Lindberg Lodge L.I.N.Y., and was chaperon of the VASA Order of the American Chapter.
Eleanor is survived by her longtime companion, Frederick J. Munro, Sr. of Marlborough, her two daughters, Lisa Mueller & her husband John, and Marie Rofrano & her husband William, both of Dix Hills, NY, and her grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Mueller, and Kimberly and Robert Rofrano & his wife Nicole.
Funeral services and interment will take place at a later date on Long Island, NY.
