Harold E. Johnson, 90, of Framingham, died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on July 6th, 2017.
Harold was born on January 27. 1926 in Worcester, son of the late Edward and Agnes (Vigneault) Johnson. He is predeceased by his wife Anne (O'Day) Johnson, brother Alfred Johnson and sister Marie Clark. Harold leaves his nephew Dennis Johnson & his wife Brenda of Worcester, and his niece Donna Johnson Metz and her husband Christian of Harwich. He also leaves a sister-in-law Peggy Brough and brother-in-law John O'Day of Hydeville, VT and many nieces, nephew's, and grand nieces and nephews.
Harold graduated from North H.S. in Worcester and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He graduated from Stonehill College and later from Boston University earning his master's degree. He began his career teaching in the Shrewsbury school system and later in Ossineke N.Y. He later worked as a Sales Representative for Houghton Mifflin Co. in Cambridge and had a successful career for 40 years.
Harold was a longtime and very active parishioner of St. Bridget's Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Harold’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Friday, July 14th from 4 – 7 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning in St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Rd., (Rte 9 East) at 10 o’clock. Interment will be private.
