Gary (Gerard) J. He earned a BS degree from Providence College, an MBA from Boston College, and a JD from the Suffolk School of Law.  Gary began his business career in 1969 with Honeywell Information Systems during which time he also was an instructor in finance at Northeastern University.  He went on to own and operate New England Bed Frames and for the past 20 years worked as a Senior Loan Officer for Mortgage Master.

Gary was a devoted son, husband, father, brother and friend.  He is survived by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Carol Battiston O’Connell of Bloomfield CT; his three children, Allyson O’Connell Nevard and her husband Mat of Framingham, Meggan O’Connell of Framingham, Gavin O’Connell and his wife Samantha of Franklin; his grandchildren, Ben (9), Lila (7), Grayson (6) Charley (4), and his siblings, Judith Kuklinski, William O’Connell, Jeannette O’Connell and their families.

Gary was a member of St. Bridget Church where he served as an usher for over 20 years.  He was a proud founding member of the ARROWS, MAPP and North Surrey Ave. Society.

Time spent with his family and friends was the great joy in Gary’s life.    The impact of his integrity, easy laugh and generous spirit was felt and will be remembered by everyone he met.

Family and Friends will honor and remember Gary’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Friday, September 15th from 4- 8 P.M.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning in St. Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham, at 10 o’clock.  Interment will be private.
